Hi, I’m Tyler. I was born in Courtenay, Vancouver Island, BC, Canada in 1988. I’m a male and I’m 18 incase you can’t do the math. So far I’ve spent my entire life in the same house and I can’t say that I dislike it. Courtenay is a fairly peaceful town with lots of mountains and trees to look at. With the mountains comes skiing and snowboarding, both of which I take a liking to during the winter (not that I’m very good at it).
I ended up getting into rpg’s with the early release of Chrono Trigger followed by Final Fantasy VII, though honestly I can’t remember which came first. This when I was about 12 or so? Well after that, I was basically hooked on role playing games. Specifically “Square”.
After playing role playing games long enough I discovered a nifty little tool called rpgmaker. I experimented with it for awhile creating fairly large games that were quite enjoyable. But in the end I decided the limitations of the program were not suitable for anything I wanted to accomplish, so the projects went down the drain.
At this point I was probably in 11th or so grade when I took a few computer programming classes. I ended up being one of the top students in the class and I actually recreated pong in visual basic which took about a week or so. In 12th grade I did take a computer class though I did not do aswell due to a heavy course load, but I still did pass which gave me enough credits to graduate.
At the moment I’m working as a dishwasher (yes lol) in a local Smitty’s. It’s not as bad as you would think, and the boss is really nice. We get a free meal every day and get all the fountian drinks we want through our shifts. My friend is also working there aswell as my brother. My friend started working first, and actually got me and my brother the jobs. My friend is a dishwasher aswell, and my brother is a cook.
I actually started a game project called Rivearios which I haven’t decided what I’m going to do with yet. Maybe sometime in the future I’ll post the scripts so people can decide if it’s any good or not.
