Intel just recently released there quad core cpu for the consumer market and it is officially the worlds first quad core cpu. Intel Core 2 Extreme X6700 Quad Core Processor Kentsfield LGA775 2.66GHZ 1066FSB 8MB Retail W/ HSF priced at $1300 ca. Good god thats like my entire computer.
Most people buying this thing are gonna be like “well it’ll prepare me for the future of gaming” which is probably true. But the main problem is that the cpu wont even be completely utilized years from now anyways and by then the cpu will be like $200. So my main point is that it’s completely pointless to buy this thing unless you like seeing 4 cores in your task manager. Unreal 3 is actually suppose to be the first game to completely utilize 2 core cpu’s which is coming out next year.
After reading about some tests on the internet it actually appears that 2 core cpu’s on average run better for gaming and multitasking. Why it seems to run better for multitasking, I do not know. Not to mention that the quad core gets extreamly hot quickly and consumes a ton of power.
Now should we expect 8 cores next, or 9 cores based on the idea of 3×3.

In my previous post I mentioned something called the YTMND (You’re the man now dog) Soundtrack. Well I thought I’d share a few songs from the soundtrack aswell as a list with all the songs on the entire collection (It’s alot of music). I also promised to upload River Side by Joe Hisaishi so here it is:
Here is a few songs from the ytmnd soundtrack that I thought would be suitible for my website. To listen to them, change the .twv extention to .zip and then extract the songs and enjoy!
Below is the song list to the ytmnd soundtrack and also a torrent to download it.

Sorry for the typos on the soundtrack list aswell as the poor seed/leacher ratios on the torrents. I couldn’t find any other better ones; can search for them on google if you want to or ask me in a comment and I’ll send them over AIM.

My computer is awesome even though it’s already out of date, and I don’t care. I am satisfied with the way it looks as I did build it myself.
It runs well for the money I spent on it and I am very happy. In the future I may invest in another graphics card for SLI as I am already able to run it. I get 80 frames per second average for max settings on half life 2. Computer specs below.
- Intel 820 Pentium D – Overclocked to 3.6 gigs

- P5LD2 Deluxe Asus Motherboard
- 250 gig Samsung SATA2 harddrive
- 550watt Aerocool Modular Powersupply
- Thermaltake Bigwater SE liquid cooling system
- Thermaltake Tsunami black case with window

- x2 19″ LG Flatrons
- 1 gig of OCZ ram-7600 nvidia graphics card
I also stole a tv tuner card from my friend to play ps2 on pc.
One of the sites I visit on my spare time is a computer mod site (Case Mod – Ultimate Case Mods) with some humorous computer cases. My two favorites (more towards retard factor) are listed below.
Indeed quite humorous. I recommend checking out the site list though because a few of the computer cases and indeed very impressive. Computer pictures listed below.
